KATH-NDC Branch Demonstrates Compassion with GH¢3,200 Support for Late Member’s Child

In a remarkable display of unity, compassion, and solidarity, the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) NDC Branch has extended substantial financial support to the family of the late Justine Edem, ensuring that the deceased member’s child benefits from the collective kindness of colleagues and members.

The support formed part of the branch’s contributions during the funeral arrangements and final rites held in honour of the late member.

According to the financial summary released by the branch, members contributed a total of GH¢3,229.00 towards the funeral support.

Breakdown of the Contributions

  • GH¢500.00 was presented to the family during the one-week observance.
  • GH¢100.00 was used to cover fuel expenses for transportation to the funeral grounds.
  • GH¢500.00 was donated to the family during the final funeral ceremony in the deceased’s hometown.
  • An additional GH¢2,100.00 has now been presented to the family as the final financial support.

This brings the total amount donated directly to the family to GH¢3,200.00, while GH¢29.00 was spent on Mobile Money transaction charges.

The transaction receipt confirms the final deposit of GH¢2,100.00 into the beneficiary’s savings account, bringing closure to the branch’s fundraising efforts.

A Culture of Standing Together

The gesture highlights the enduring spirit of togetherness within the KATH community. Beyond being colleagues, members continue to demonstrate that they are a family willing to stand with one another during life’s most difficult moments.

Supporting bereaved families is one of the strongest expressions of compassion in any institution, and the KATH-NDC Branch has once again shown that collective generosity can ease the burden of loss.
