Life does not always move according to our expectations. There are seasons when prayers appear unanswered, opportunities disappear, friends walk away and circumstances make us wonder whether continuing the journey is worth it.
But the message from Evangelist Papa Bright of Hamburg, Germany, is simple and powerful: Never give up. Your present situation is not necessarily the conclusion of your story.

Joseph: The Pit Was Not His Destination

David himself later encouraged Solomon to remain strong and steadfast, assuring him that God would not abandon him before the work was completed.
His journey teaches us that delay does not automatically mean denial.
You may know where you are today, but you cannot always see what God is preparing for tomorrow.
Jabez: Don’t Allow Your Beginning to Define Your Future
Then there is Jabez.
His name was associated with pain, but Jabez refused to allow the circumstances surrounding his beginning to determine the direction of his entire life. He turned towards God and prayed for blessing, enlargement and divine protection.
His story has therefore become an enduring illustration of refusing to be imprisoned by negative labels or painful beginnings.
Your background may explain part of your story, but it does not have to determine your destination.
Scripture Calls Us to Persevere
The central message of Evangelist Papa Bright’s sermon is consistent with a recurring biblical principle: keep going.
Galatians 6:9 encourages believers not to become weary in doing good because there is a harvest in due season for those who refuse to give up. Scripture similarly speaks about perseverance through trials and continuing towards the goal.
There will be moments when you become tired. There may even be moments when you feel defeated.
But being tired is not the same as being finished.
Rest if necessary. Pray again. Reorganise. Learn from your mistakes. Seek God’s direction. But don’t surrender simply because the journey has become difficult.

Pain could not define Jabez.
And whatever challenge confronts you today does not automatically have the authority to determine your tomorrow.
One Day, You Will Also Laugh
Perhaps the most memorable thought from the message can be summarised in the words:
“ONE DAY YOU WILL ALSO LAUGH — DON’T GIVE UP.”
That is a message for the unemployed person still submitting applications, the entrepreneur whose business is struggling, the family waiting for a breakthrough, the student who has experienced failure, and the believer wondering when prayers will finally produce visible results.
Continue believing. Continue working. Continue praying. Continue improving yourself.
Your current chapter may contain tears, disappointment and uncertainty, but don’t close the book prematurely.
One day, the experience that almost made you surrender could become the testimony you use to encourage somebody else.
Never give up. Your story is still being written.
