Ghanaian Father Wins Court Battle in Germany After Child Access Dispute

A Ghanaian father living in Bremen, Germany, Osei Angel, says he has won a legal battle over access to his children after a prolonged dispute with Lucia Akosua, whom he accuses of preventing him from seeing them.

According to Osei Angel, the court’s decision marks the end of a difficult chapter in his life, during which he says he was unfairly denied the opportunity to be part of his children’s lives.

During his account, Osei Angel also spoke about the early days of his relationship with Lucia Akosua. He claims that when they met in Ghana, she did not have a birth certificate or passport, and that he played a key role in helping her obtain the documents needed for her journey to Germany. He says details on her birth certificate, including the house number linked to his mother’s family home, support his account of assisting her.

Osei Angel further alleges that after arriving in Germany, Lucia Akosua’s attitude towards him changed dramatically. He says he feels hurt because, despite helping her relocate and establish herself in Germany, he believes she became ungrateful and eventually denied him access to their children.

Despite his disappointment, Osei Angel insists he harbors no hatred toward her.

“Her success is also my pride because I played a major role in bringing her to Germany. Nobody can erase that chapter of our lives,” he said.

He added that he continues to wish her well and hopes she succeeds in life.

Reflecting on the past, Osei Angel expressed surprise at what he describes as a complete transformation in Lucia Akosua’s character after moving abroad. According to him, she was widely known in Ghana as a God-fearing woman and even served as the women’s leader of Pillar of Zion Church in Bremen.

He questioned what may have led to the breakdown of their relationship, asking whether life abroad changed her personality or whether the traits he now sees had always existed but only became apparent over time.

A Reminder That Every Story Has Two Sides

The claims in this article reflect Osei Angel’s account of the events. Lucia Akosua’s response or perspective has not been included here. In matters involving family disputes and child custody, it is important to recognize that both parties may have different experiences and explanations, and court decisions often address specific legal issues rather than every allegation made publicly.

Moment of Wisdom

Family disputes are among the most painful experiences anyone can face, especially when children are involved. While courts can determine legal rights, lasting healing often comes through respectful communication, forgiveness where possible, and prioritizing the well-being of the children above personal conflicts.
