The Global President of the Akatakyie fraternity, Katakyie Mike Adu-Domfeh (AB 146), has been officially unveiled as the Chief of Nwamase in the Ashanti Region.
The historic outdoor ceremony, held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, drew family members, traditional leaders, friends, well-wishers, and members of the Akatakyie fraternity to the town of Nwamase to witness the formal introduction of the new chief to the community.
Known in private life as Katakyie Mike Adu-Domfeh, he will assume the traditional title Barima Kofi Domfeh, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership and service to the people of Nwamase.
The colourful event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Ashanti Kingdom, with traditional attire, processions, and community participation reflecting the deep respect and significance attached to chieftaincy institutions.
His official swearing-in and enstoolment at the revered Manhyia Palace are expected to take place at a later date.
Members of the Akatakyie fraternity are encouraged to take note of the upcoming ceremony and prepare to give their full support to their Global President as he ascends to this distinguished traditional role.
